Caduceus Wild is a medical podcast focused on the always fascinating, often frightening, and occasionally fantastic aspects of medicine as viewed through the lens of case reports both famous and forgotten.
Considered to be the lowest level of evidence, case reports are often the first line of reporting on new phenomena, unknown diseases, or adverse drug effects. Uncommon presentations and unusual circumstances are also fodder for the format. Whatever the case, they are much more interesting to talk about than straight research papers or tedious review articles.
The goal is for one episode of month, though let’s be honest we’re probably just gonna get around to it when we get around to it. Maybe we’ll do bonus mini episodes, who knows. We’re just trying to have fun and be ourselves.
